The Mission of Liechtenstein to the United Nations in New York and the Global Institute for the Prevention of Aggression have launched a project promoting the ratification and implementation of the Kampala amendments on the crime of aggression. It aims to raise awareness about the amendments on the crime of aggression, the necessity to criminalize the illegal use of force and to assist States in their process of ratification as well as domestic implementation of the criminalization of the illegal use of force. In particular, the project seeks to promote the goal of at least 30 ratifications of the Kampala amendments as early as possible, in order to enable the Assembly of States Parties to activate the Court’s jurisdiction in 2017.
