Interview of Claus Kreß at the Universidad Externado de Colombia: On 11 May 2026, GIPA member Professor Dr. Claus Kreß gave an online interview at the Universidad Externado de Colombia. He discussed the current challenges of the prohibition of the use of force and international criminal justice in general and the importance of the criminal sanction for the crime of aggression in that respect. The interview also includes an analysis of the role of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the current geopolitical context, the tensions arising from the US sanctions against the ICC and its officials, as well as the challenges these scenarios pose to judicial independence, international cooperation, and the enforcement of international criminal law.
